Welcome! Thank you for visiting my website.

History was my favourite subject in high school. Perhaps it had something to do with my Latin teacher of all things. Mother Alacoque had a way of making this dry subject interesting by bringing to life the Roman era. Whatever part of the world I’ve found myself in, I’ve made sure to look up its history. Another favourite pastime was listening to my grandmama Laflamme in Chicoutimi, recounting stories from her childhood.

With the spare time retirement affords me I can now indulge in researching whatever historic period grabs my fancy. I’ve always loved writing and telling stories so it is my intention to make history fun by wrapping it up in a good story.

My first novel, I Could Have Been… was born out of my grandmama's recollections while the second one, They Came to Stay is due to the love I have of my native land.

They Came to Stay

In the face of all odds, the tenacity of the mid 17th century settlers of New France enabled them to become a force strong enough to become the unique francophone nation that they are today inside the great nation of Canada. A nation that owes its very existence to these first French settlers.

BOOK 1
